anthem-A-tronics
anthem-A-tronics is made up of three boys getting ready to enter 6thgrade. The boys have been working together through FIRST LEGO League for two years. Last summer, they also participated in the MoonBots competition and were selected as one of the twenty finalists. Although the boys don’t go to school together – Kevin attends a traditional public school, Nick attends a charter school, and Reagan is homeschooled – they do spend a good amount of time together between robotics and Boy Scouts.
Kevin brings the most pop-culture to the team. He is funny and charming and more than a little obsessed with Minecraft. Kevin has a real knack for developing creative attachments for the robot. He has great problem solving skills.
Nick is quiet but demanding. There is no robot mission challenge that he isn’t interested in solving. Nick enjoys developing multi-functional robots and attachments. His foresight in mission planning and multi-tasking is a real asset to the team.
Reagan understands the science behind the team’s engineering challenges. He is smart and sees the value in all aspects of robotics competitions. Reagan is a planner and does his best to keep the team on track and on time.
All three boys work very well together. They’ve won two FIRST LEGO League awards — a trophy for teamwork and one for robot performance.
